We all carry hand sanitizers with us and they do a great job of disinfecting your hands on-the-go. If you are someone who loves to use organic and homemade/safe products, you certainly wouldn’t want to use alcohol-based hand sanitizers and alcohol is the main ingredient in all the commercial hand sanitizers. Alcohol can make your hands dry and rough which definitely isn’t something we want. Below is an easy homemade hand sanitizer recipe that not only sanitizes your hands on-the-go but also keeps them moisturized!
Coconut oil- Coconut oil is anti-bacterial and anti-fungal. It also has essential fatty acids that moisturize the skin and keeps it healthy and soft, unlike alcohol-laden sanitizers that make skin rough and dry.
Witch hazel– Witch hazel is a natural surface sanitizer. It has great disinfecting properties that instantly kills bacteria and fungi spores.
Aloe vera- Aloe vera, just like coconut oil has anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties. It also keeps your skin soft and plump. Aloe vera makes a great base for hand sanitizer thanks to its gel-texture. Also, aloe keeps skin well-hydrated.
