Tom Ka is a Thai Cuisine. “Tom” means “boiling a broth”, knowing that “ka” means galangal will quickly help us understand that this soup’s main ingredient is the galangal. Don’t confuse it with “king” or ginger. So it’s perfect during the cold and flus season, for recovery from an illness or just boosting immunity and preventing infections. Ingredients (4 Servings)
- Tom Ka Paste – 1 Cup
- Boneless Chicken – 300g
- Creamy Coconut Milk – 250ml
- Button Mushrooms – 150g
- White Onion – 1 medium size
- Coconut Oil – 2 teaspoon
- Coriander leaves
- Lime Juice – 1 medium size
- Fish sauce – 3 Teaspoon
- Water – 250ml
First of all take the saucepan and leave it to heat in a medium flame. Then, add Coconut oil and sliced onion and mix them together. Put the chicken pieces, salt and fish sauce and cover it with lid. After a boil add Mushrooms and Tom Ka paste. Mix them well and cover it again to boil. Leave it about 20 minutes. Chicken and mushroom look soft now. Then, pour the Coconut Milk and another teaspoon of Salt. After 5 minutes, last but not least add Lemon Juice and Coriander leaves. It smells heaven.
Divide into 4 and garnish with lemon slices. Have the divine taste.
